Atmoforming is prototyping a modular and easy-to-install photobioreactor

Basic functioning

We pump high concentrated CO2 in the photobioreactor and use artificial lights to let the algae grow as fast as possible. To improve the process the number of algae have to be limited with the use of a sedimentator that separates the biomass from water. The biomass can be then used in several ways, the one we love is to produce biomethane, in this way we can create value and achieve true circular economy.

Results

These organisms can efficiently use sunlight and CO2 through photosynthesis with a much higher growth rate and 10–50 times higher carbon fixation capacity than that of terrestrial plants.

Our system can increase this rate up to 500%.
